is a general term for a popular style or practice, especially in clothing, footwear, accessories, makeup, or furniture. fashion can also be associated with dressing a person up to show new styles and trends to show 'fashion' .usally associated with clothing but can be used as a trend

Fashion photography has been in existence since 1839. There was always the existence of fashionable dress, but the idea of taking photographs to help sell clothing and accessories had just come into play. Fashion photography is a genre of photography devoted to displaying clothing and other fashion items. Fashion photography is most often conducted for advertisements or fashion magazines such as Vogue, Vanity Fair, or Elle. Over time, fashion photography has developed its own aesthetic in which the clothes and fashions are enhanced by the presence of exotic locations or accessories.

At the beginning of the 20th century, fashion magazines began to include photographs of various fashion designs and became even more influential on people than in the past. In cities throughout the world these magazines were greatly sought-after and had a profound effect on public clothing taste. Talented illustrators drew exquisite fashion plates for the publications which covered the most recent developments in fashion and beauty. Perhaps the most famous of these magazines was La Gazette du Bon Ton which was founded in 1912 by Lucien Vogel and regularly published until 1925 (with the exception of the war years).

 this photograph has been photoshoped or has used a smiler program to 'toach up' miss Kristen Stewart skin and clothing to give it the air brushed look this is used alot on photograph's in big magazines so there models look almost flawless  also to show perfection in there beauty .

 the clothing is shown as much as possibly to advertise the designer .

 the colours that stand out in this photograph are the blue of her earring and the pink of her bra these stand out against her dark hair and her pail skin , this is enhanced by the dark red of her lips and the golden yellow of her jacket .

  in the background of the photo wight patterned wall with golden pieces of bathroom rack for towls and lights which give a Royal or upper class to the photograph showing the message that she is classy but yet the clashing colours show her braking free from the plain (the back wall ) and the look in her eyes show she is looking at something that has disappointed or disrupted her.
